We have changed the company name to Pellon Group Oy. The company has renewed itself over the recent years and consequently we decided to renew the company name to correspond with the parent company of an international group. We are a high-technology company, offering production solutions and services. Pellonpaja will in future be a supplementary firm-name of Pellon Group Oy, to be used in contract manufacturing, as its share of the Group’s net sales is less than 5%.
Pellon Group Oy has business activities and group-member companies in Finland, Sweden, Poland, Germany and China. The company has sales activities, either through group-member companies or a network of partners, in ca. 20 countries.

PELLON is an internationally registered trademark we have already been using as a marketing name for years. PELLON is the name that we are internationally known by so the change is an easy and natural one. As far as the Pellon logos used in marketing and advertising are concerned, there is no need to make any changes.

Pellon Group Oy offers highly automated production solutions for animal husbandry, allowing the process of production to be controlled as one entity.

In animal husbandry feeding is the key. Pellon Group is nowadays a leading global company manufacturing automatic feeding systems.

The Pellon systems are used to feed cows, pigs, horses, goats, sheep and fish. The feeding systems are used in five continents. Over the last few years our R&D investments have been at the same level as is typical of high-tech companies.

We are still investing in the research and development of our feeding systems, a good example of which is our latest project and research cooperation with ART, an agricultural research centre in Switzerland.

For us the most significant R&D project in progress is the one to develop a processing system for liquid manure, in cooperation with MTT Agrifood Research Finland.

As far as pig liquid manure is concerned, the project is reaching its conclusion, and sales will start next year.

The testing equipment for cattle liquid manure has just recently been introduced and we are expecting results during this autumn.

Controlling and developing the production process, saving work-time, energy optimisation and environmentally friendliness are the subjects and challenges of the moment. We in Pellon Group have prepared, and have been preparing our customers, to meet these challenges by introducing a number of new products; in 2010, for example, a production management system for dairy farms and a heating/cooling system for pig farms and cow-houses. Service and maintenance procedures have also been productized to meet the needs of big modern livestock units.

The MULTILINE production management system for dairy farms has been developed in cooperation with Uniform Agri BV from the Netherlands. The system includes the following features: a connection to automated feeding systems, a connection readiness to Agricultural Data Processing Centres in most European countries, livestock registers, calving, treatments, semination, to-do-lists and real-time connection to the data of a milking centre or robot.

In cooperation with Suomen Lämpöpumpputekniikka Oy, Pellon Group has developed applications suitable for pig farms and cow-houses. The applications are based on ground heat pump technology and are environmentally friendly and energy-efficient solutions.

Over recent years we have been very active in the rapidly growing sector of horse husbandry and developed the largest product mix in horse stables and riding arenas.

A modern horse stable at its best includes a number of technical features such as an automatic feeding system, air conditioning and manure removal. Our products and services are available in all Nordic countries, and our factory in Sweden is one of the largest manufacturers of horse boxes in Europe.
